Who is our founder?
Steve Avrus has been in the financial industry since 1975, starting at a local finance company as assistant branch manager and later branch manager. He earned a B.S. in accounting from Florida International University in Miami and obtained his mortgage broker license at the same time, moving on to a job as a mortgage account executive for Citibank. By working part-time for numerous South Florida mortgage companies, he continued to gain experience and to maintain a presence on the financial playing field.
Concerned that mortgage clients were receiving little personal service, in 1982 Steve established his own mortgage company. Avrus Financial & Mortgage Services, with the goal of providing sound financial advice to accompany the mortgage products offered.
Now available to clients in three states—Florida, Georgia, and California—Avrus Financial and Mortgage Services’ name is synonymous with integrity, organization, and superior customer service. Whether this is your first mortgage or your 50th, doing business with Avrus means having the attention of brokers and processors with a combined experience of over 60 years in the financial and banking fields.
